Clink: Irish Car Bomb
By Jaweed Kaleem
"The Troubles'' may be a thing of the past in Northern Ireland, but a liquid legacy of those tragic times is still a hit on college campuses and at Irish bars.
Made with Irish cream, whiskey and stout, the Irish Car Bomb visually ''explodes'' as the ingredients are combined.
"The drink's very popular, especially this time of year," says Eamon Guilfoyle, owner of the Playwright Irish Pub and Restaurant in Miami Beach, where live rock and Irish folk music are on tap for St. Patrick's Day.
D.I.Y.
- Pour 1/2 ounce Irish cream (e.g., Baileys) into a shot glass and top with 1/2 ounce Irish whiskey (e.g., Jameson).
- Pour 3/4 pint stout (e.g., Guinness Draught) into a separate glass.
- Drop the entire shot glass into the beer and drink up -- in one motion if you're adventurous. (Drink quickly, as the cream immediately begins to curdle.)
F.Y.I.
The Irish Car Bomb is $10 at the Playwright Irish Pub and Restaurant, 1265 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-534-0667. There are also plenty of domestic ($5.75) and imported beers ($6) to choose from.

What's up with that other 'Irish Pub', Waxy O'Connor's, opening up right across the street? Is there that many Irishmen in the immediate vicinity?!
Also, where's "Clink: Green Beer"? lol
