Owner Manny Ebaid brings a slice of his native Egypt to life on Harrison Street. Customers come for falafel, burgers, chicken wings and kebabs in the funky-fun space with an undersea mural and hookah bar with flavored tobacco. At night belly dancers swirl between the tables, hips in motion, finger cymbals tinkling. Start with mezze -- the usual hummus, stuffed grape leaves and eggplant spread plus more exotic tidbits like feta cheese with olives, grilled peppers and zucchini on a bed of romaine. Manny is famous for his falafels—crisp patties with moist, nutty interiors stuffed in pita with tahini or platter-style. Light eaters come for the homemade soups, pita wraps and phyllo pies. Save room for baklava and Turkish coffee. Party until the wee hours on weekend nights.
