Mangos Tropical Cafe

One of the first stops for tourists in search of typical Miami flavor, this exuberant two-story Latin club is definitely high energy. Here you’ll find a colorful decor with illuminated palm trees, a veranda, paintings of tropical foliage in day-glo hues and a glam upstairs bar reminiscent of the Tropicana Club in Havana circa 1920.

At Mango's, the food has always taken a backseat to the scene. Live reggae and Latin bands as well as scantily-clad samba dancers and sexy tango dancers add to the allure. DJs spin a mix of reggaeton, merengue, salsa and bachata, and dance lessons are available. Another plus: the bartenders (most of them beach cuties) can dance a mambo on top of the bar as gracefully as they make a Banana Cabana cocktail. But if you go to dine, expect standard beach fare like chicken farfalle, Caribbean mahi mahi and a selection of steaks.
