Molly Sims
By Adam Beasley
You've seen her on NBC's Las Vegas and in the pages of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue - five times.
She lives in NYC, but former model Molly Sims feels at home on South Beach, especially spots like Intermix, a specialty retailer on Collins Avenue.
Recently Sims was at an Intemix party promoting the new pink BlackBerry Curve.
You went through a lot to get down here. Take us through your day, beginning to end.
"I had a long day. I woke up [in New York] at 6 o'clock. . . . Then I did a photo shoot for In Style from about 8 until 3:40. I was on the plane at 5:20, and I am here at 9-something. I still have on the makeup from the shoot. I've been wearing fake eyelashes for 14 hours.''
What's your favorite part of the day?
"It will be in a few minutes, seeing my newborn baby nephew. He's a month-and-a-half. I came down for the birth, but I haven't seen him since.''
So you have family here. When you're in town, where do you go?
"I'm loving Prime 112. The Fontainebleau is phenomenal. I like Phillippe's - it's a Chinese restaurant here on South Beach. I love shopping. I used to model here, and so coming here over the last 10 years has totally changed. Collins has really changed. You used to just have the Delano. Now you have the Ritz and Fontainebleau is opening.''
You're here promoting the pink BlackBerry Curve. Are you addicted to your BlackBerry?
"I can't live without it. What can I say? I hate it, but I love it. I'm addicted. When something new comes out, we all have to have it. All my friends work them, and I love them.''
