
Retro Beach Film Festival at Cinema Paradiso

The 1st Annual Retro Beach Film Festival starts Thursday, June 5 at Cinema Paradiso. Presented by Steve Savor, the festival will screen 9 beach-themed films and host a number of special events such as a Beach Party with hot dogs, beach music, Tiki Torches and an Elvis impersonator.
The following films comprise the festival's list: Beach Blanket Bingo, How to Stuff A Wild Bikini, Good Times starring Sonny and Cher, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Girl Happy starring Elvis, Where the Boys Are, Ride the Wild Surf, Wild Wild Summer and Head featuring the Monkees.
The festival will also feature several guest stars. Comedian Woody Woodbury will be in attendance for the film Woody Woodybury: High Holy man of Hooch, which is described as "Surfing college students hang out at a club watching comedian Woody Woodbury and drinking Pepsi." This screening takes place at 7pm on June 5.
Monkees lead singer Davy Jones will be in attendance for a screening of Head which take place at 7:30 pm on June 8.
Elvis impersonator Chris Noel will be in attendance for the 6 pm screening of Girl Happy on June 7 and the 5pm screening of Wild Wild Winter on June 8.
